Market Mapping Tutorial
The following web pages provide a 'quick introduction' to the scope of the
Market Mapping Software V2.
A 'route map' of words and diagrams illustrates the key inputs and outputs. At this
stage, prospective users may find it useful to download
and install the Read Only version of Market Mapping Software V2, and then work through the
following pages step-by-step.
If more detailed information about the modus operandi of Market Mapping Software V2 is
required, then users are urged to consult the on-line help system also supplied as part of the
Market Mapping Software V2 package, or consult the
Market Mapping
Software V2 User Manual, which has been designed to help users work their way in detail
through the entire Market Mapping Software V2 application.
The 'SupplyMap' Example Model
In the tutorial that follows, we will rebuild the 'SupplyMap' model provided with
the software. The purpose of the 'SupplyMap' model is to illustrate the
analytical capability supported by Market Mapping Software V2 using 'every day' commodities and
channels. Whilst we recognise that not all prospective customers who download our software are
involved with the construction industry, some indeed are! We therefore hope that the example model
will be accepted in the 'illustrative' spirit with which it has been designed. All companies
referred to within this example model are fictional; any similarity to any real company is
purely coincidental and unintentional.
Creating your own Example Maps
Customers can also use the Restricted Version of Market Mapping Software V2 to create their own
example maps. This development will be of particular interest to organisations wishing to trial the
software for their own business ecosystems prior to purchase, and achieve a greater understanding
of the software's analytical capabilities. The content of such examples will be limited to 15 components
('Roots', 'Nodes' etc.) and 20 'Links'. All restrictions will be lifted
upon purchase of a full licence of Market
Mapping Software V2.
Opening Market Mapping Software V2 And Getting Started

Assuming that the software has been successfully installed, click the Market Mapping
Software V2.1 button (above) located on your desktop. If you have installed a 'Read Only' or 'Restricted' Version
of the software, then a pop-up display provides information about the capabilities and limitations of the
application, and encourages you to purchase a full software licence. Click the ‘OK’ button, or close the message
box to proceed.
